In this piece, I explore themes of privacy and intrusion by juxtaposing materials. The unyielding steel chair stands in contrast to the softness of a child's cotton nightgown, creating a sense of tension that invites viewers to experience the clash between comfort and unease. The gown, secured with a layer of wax, symbolizes both protection and vulnerability, reflecting the delicate nature of human skin. Small pearls embellish the skirt's underskirt, adding intricacy and reinforcing the complex interplay between innocence and exposure.
